Safe to charge with older chargers? (New Samsung USB C cables)

Hello there folks!

I have a quick question. Can I use my older Samsung S5, Moto X14 PE and off brand chargers with an off brand USB C cable? I don't need DASH charging in my truck or office but I will use the dash charger at home early....But will this damage the device? I have been reading online about this and it seems to give e mix reviews.

Also by 3rd party I mean Samsung or Moto branded items. Not just cheap cables. Anyways...Thoughts?

I'm not too particular about my charging brick. But I make sure to use Benson Leung approved USB A to C cables.

I regularly charge my OP3 with old micro-usb chargers via usb-c adaptors/cables. There is a reviewer on amazon that reviews cables and adapters for usb-c compliance. I have not tried any "quick charge" adapters -- that would be my only concern. Most of my adapters are from old MS/Nokia Lumias.
