I've got a new Note5 and was wondering if it would be safe if I disabled amazon music and audible that were pre-installed on the device. I always just get a little nervous because it says it may cause the device to misbehave if I do so. I do not have a use for either of these apps as there are plenty of other ways to get their services. Would this void a warranty in any way and will it be safe if I do so? Thanks!

I would not worry about disabling those. I actually use the music app, but always disable the Audible app. I also don't believe any system app depends on them. So... disable!!!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! The warning is completely generic, and shows up when you try to disable any app at all. I agree with DOOG9517, disabling them should be fine.

I have disabled Amazon music and audible with no problems. If you are disabling from the app manager then you have nothing to worry about. It won't let you disable anything system critical
