So, the inevitable question when generations move on...

I see that the Note 4 charger has an adaptive mode for fast charger, and then another mode.

Any problem anyone sees using it with my 2014 10.1 tablet, too? I hate to take up two plugs on the surge protector for two different chargers.

Great...here's another...

So, I use an extended length cable with my new Note 4 charger, not the OEM. BIg deal? I've heard in the past cables can be an issue. Seemed to work fine with my S4, but tech is different here.

--2d the OEM cable at the moment I have hooked into a USB hub that also has a charging port. That can be switched if need be, but the bigger issue-- The charging port was rated a fairly typical 2.1 amps and 5 volts. I presume it will charge the Note 4 in a reasonable time, at least as fast, say, as the S4?
(This setup just gives me a way to charge the tablet and the phone at the same time. )

You won't run into any problems when charging either device, the only problem or downside is that you will not be able to utilize the fast charging tech, as it is only available in the note 4, and not the 10.1 '14.

I used the new quick charger from the Note 4 yesterday on my Note 10.1 2014 Edition yesterday without any problems. It charged it pretty quick too.

Me, too. Ditto.

THe regular Hub charging port (2.1 amps 5 volts) worked fine charging the N4 too, just not as fast.
