Same missed call problem here!!!!!!

So I have been having the same problem a lot of others have had with the missed call issue. I recently upgraded to the ED04 modem and the problem still is happening. I am wondering if I upgrade to the GB leak if that will help or is it the same components with a different UI? Just wondering best way to fix this problem. Thanks
 
Yeah its pretty frustrating. I missed 2 important calls today. Sometimes I get calls and sometimes I don't.
 
It's allegedly a known issue verizon and samsung are working on. Rumor from some verizon customer/tech support people (the ones who really don't know anything) is there will be a maintenance release sometime in the near future to address the missed calls problem. No ETA.
 
One of the Verizon mods over on their Fascinate forums said they got the "fix" on 6/30 and are currently testing before release. Here is my question and their response:

Since you guys have it and testing are we talking about Gingerbread or a maintenance release?

THANKS for the response guys. Maybe we can get that fix soon, the wife is starting to get upset with me lol
 
My wife and I are also having this issue. I just missed a call about 5 minutes ago with the phone here on my desk.

I hope a fix is imminent.
 
Missed another very important call today. I fortunately also have a Verizon dumb phone for work that actually does what its supposed to... receive calls. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
 
I too have the issue. Because my boss could not get me on the phone this weekend I lost out on an extra $900 in my pocket. I am beyond mad that they would release something with such a large bug.
 
I've been missing calls and text messages too! I thought it was just me until I started researching the problem and finding out that I am not the only one. Come on Verizon and Samsung!

I have this problem too, I called verizon and they gave me the choice of the charge, droid x2 and droid incredible 2.

I called Verizon about this too, and they didn't offer me any replacement devices like that. I told them that its a known issue with this phone and they still didn't get the hint. Wtf, Verizon.

All depends on who you talk to. Some reps will know all about the issue and others will say they nothing of it, YEAH RIGHT!

***UPDATE*** This was posted on the Verizon Forums today.

["The last information we have received is on 6/30, Samsung determined the cause of the missed call and SMS issue and sent the resolution to us. The resolution is still being tested by us and we are working on the final software update. On 7/8, we received info that the software is still being developed. I don't have an exact date on the fix. Once we have more information, we will communicate that information.

i have called verizon three times for this issue all three times i have got a different answer. the first rep told me i could choose between the charge, inc2, and x2, out but was having trouble shipping the charge out to me. the second rep said they were not doing replacements except for other fascinates. the thrid rep said she could only replace it with the inc2 or x2 and if i wanted the charge to go to a retail location. any verizon employees here know the REAL solution? i reall don't want to go to a store just ot be told to call in again
 
I'd actually like an Incredible 2. The Incredible was my second choice when I got the Fascinate and the Fascinate's larger screen was a selling point back then. With a bigger screen on the Incredible 2 I'd be satisfied I think.
