Hi All
Michael is the name, I am new here.
Have been looking through different posts to see if I could get an idea to what to do next....
I have no luck at all with these lovely Nexus 4 phones, as I have wrecked my 2. phone within 2 months...first Nexus I forgot in my trouser pocket, and it went for a spin in the washing machine
Feeling stupid I got another Nexus 4 from my phone company (paying for both the next 24 months)...This one fell from my pocket onto my garden tiles. The screen cracked and touch did not work. The phone was still working.
So after looking at different screen/digitizer replacement guides, I thought I could manage to take the bits from the "washed" phone and hope they were not totally damaged from being in water.
Everything worked well, a real pain getting the backcover off without the right prying tool!! The battery was completely drained, so I started to charge it. The battery indicator came up on the screen...yay! I thought, I am a pro
...but think again, the power button does nothing, the phone is not turning on.
Only 2 parts I have not ripped from the "washed" phone are the daughterboard and the jack.
So before I buy a new screen/digitizer set, is it worth for me to replace the daughterboard and jack? And hopefully it will work...or has the water damaged the parts I am using?
All the best,
Michael from Denmark.
