Sammy.com orders. Will request to hold at Fedex location change my deliver date?

So I went into the Fedex manager and it lets me go to hold at location options and gives me the list of places I can have it held. If I do this could it delay my package a day? This seems like a good option so we don't have to sit around at home on Monday. I guess Samsung didn't put this restriction on it this time the two delivery attempts. Should I take a chance on it?

I did that just because my place of business will be closed on Monday, so FedEx won't be able to deliver. I hope I can pick it up at the drop off area I selected on Monday and not delayed another day, but we shall see. Either way I will have my phone next week.

Does it still have the same estimated delivery date? The fedex hub is 1 mile from the Fedex customer pickup. Do you think that would change the day at all? The customer pickup is literally just down the street from me.

I've done this with all my past phones except for last year Samsung didn't allow it. The phone was not delayed. Instead of my house, I had it sent to a fedex shipping store. I haven't had any issues. But, that is just my experience. Yours may vary.

Plus with the thefts you can pick it up there and unbox it there. If its missing it would be on the security tape to prove it.

Weird, mine from Sammy said shipper did not allow changes to be made. Luckily wife is working from home today

I have noticed that with Samsung Shipments via FedEx, they negotiated the absolute LOWEST rate they could get, and in turn, disabled the ability to change ANY of the shipping details (from the customer OR Samsung's side) once the label is printed.

I have had MANY MANY issues with this and had no recourse until FedEx decided to do their job and deliver as proimised.

I ordered a G9 monitor a while back and I didn't get it until 3 days after the promised delivery date because they suck.

Just came! Man they pack that box tight and the phone inside the package too is very tight. Be careful opening it!

Well FedEx didn't accept my request to hold at location. They left it by my gate when no one was here. Luckily my husband was on his way home.

It shouldn't change the delivery date to a nearby location. It didn't for me in the past

It sometimes depends on when you attempted to change it and if you are actually signed into your account.

I was able to redirect the package to the local FedEx location. It didn't change the delivery date.
