Android Central Question

I've got quite the convoluted problem here, so bear with me.

First, I got my phone wet. Which then caused it to shut down (after I dried it with rice and everything) so then I booted it pressing the power button and lower volume.

Phone booted, no signs of water damage in the screen, battery holds up fine, sound and vibration work, but there are 3 problems:

1 - Phone detects water in the charging hole.
2 - Phone's screen is completely unresponsive to touch (buttons on the side work fine, though).

And this is what I believe is the causation for the screen being unresponsive: (being hopeful that water didn't kill it) the emergency mode.

I can't take this off. Only way to take it off seems to be pressing the button you get after holding the power button, but this isn't an option right now.

It stayed this way until just now, when there is no longer any humidity detected in the charging hole, meaning I can plug it in for charging now.

So, what do you think I should do about this?

OP here, title is kind of misleading I just realised, it's not that it doesn't work. It displays image just fine, it's the touch system that doesn't work.

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but the damage has most likely been done. You could try the method here: [GUIDE] Oh, no! My Phone got Wet! - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com. But ultimately, you may just have to get a new phone. Bringing this one to a repair shop may be worth doing, but the problem is that you probably won't know if additional components will fail due to progressive corrosion, so it could become a money pit, where you keep having to bring it back to the repair shop to replace component after component.
