Just curious if anyone knows what this is for? Received a notification that won't go away without agreeing to the terms.

I'm hesitant to agree to anything at this point, not having the time to go through all the terms.

I'm pretty sure I got the same pop up last night once after I was messing around in the Samsung theme store. I haven't had it since tho. Not sure why it did it. Glitch or maybe an update to the terms. I have no clue. Lol

It was annoying as hell, wouldn't go away, so I didn't give it permission to send reports to Samsung to better my experience.

Chuckles! They would "better my experience" if they nick off and leave me alone... ??????

My eventual impression is it's to authorize personalized marketing. One of the checkboxes (think there were only three) stated the intention was to allow Samsung to direct product offers and a personalized experience....or something to that effect. Perhaps it's related to Bixby, which I don't use.

So annoying.....I started receiving the same notice suddenly yesterday....I clicked deny permission and the notification kept coming back after a few minutes. The only screen that comes up is asking you to agree, but doesn't really show what you are agreeing too! I did not agree to any terms/conditions and eventually was able to turn off Samsung notifications.

I've been receiving the notifications 3-4 times a day for the last week or so.

Go to Settings>Notifications>Advanced, then scroll down to Samsung Connect and switch them off. So far, so good.

That worked for me as well.

Thanks, I've been getting them also. Tried your info for settings Hope it works for me.

*well it didn't work for me, it comes on several times a day. So annoying.
What does it do? It does show update needed in play store. I went into app setting and turned off couple things, so guess I'll see if something doesn't work. 😕 them guess I'll turn them back on.

unable to locate any info on what Samsung account wants to collect.

Deleted Samsung account. Problem solved. Followed the annoying notification. Declined all terms and conditions. Selected delete account and followed through. Don't need an annoying Samsung account for back ups or find phone.

I was looking for a answer but the settings-notifications didn't work for me. I found that notifications was still enabled under the app. So I went to:
settings
Apps
then to right the 3 dots hit that then show system apps
then scroll down to the Samsung account
Under that account it shows that notifications are enabled. Click where it says enabled and then click to disable notifications. This is what worked for me. Hope this helps someone else.

I tried everything here on my S8 and nothing worked. I tried more complicated ways I found on line and they didn't work either. I think Samsung has closed off these workarounds: e.g., the Samsung Select app doesn't appear where it used to, notifications options don't include this, etc. I worked on it for about a week on and off, no progress, irritating notification showing up again each time within minutes. I finally buckled and took the last-resort suggestion - clicked "agree" (although without checking any boxes). That worked! No more notifications. But talk about bad company treatment - I'm not going to deal with a company that sneakily requires me to opt into a mysterious account I don't understand and don't want. I've had Samsung phones for years but this is the last one. Hello, Samsung guys, you might want to think about not alienating your customer base.

Finally figured it out
Settings/Apps
Hit 3 dots in right corner for drop-down menu
Special access/notification access
Toggle Samsung experience to off
Also workspace bc it's annoying
The drop down menu has lots of things to play with to make your phone more efficient.
