I have an S7 Edge and saw that there was an application from Samsung for their "Always On" App.
I searched for that application on Galaxy Apps and Play Store and not to be found.

I gather no go with Note 5?

Are you talking about the screen always on while charging?

No, the Galaxy 7 series has a clock and notification feature that you can turn on when the screen is off, and on the Note 7 I could change the color of the clock and there were quite a few to choose from. Totally separate from the on while charging.

Well guess what? There is an app from the Google play store that you can download and have Always On Display in your Note5!!! 😊

It works..try it

I have it in my new Note5 😊

Carlo, free apps are never really the answer... specially in this situation. We'd have to pay for it or deal with annoying ads until we pay for it... either or its kind of a loss unless someone is happy buying guide an app that let's you glance at some missed calls, txts, etc... not sure if it's worth it to me. Plus the Samsung version of it looks much better .

Well so far no ads, it's free, Samsung is not going to update the Note5, so it's either this or nothing.

If you run an adblocker that blocks ads in app, then you don't have to worry about any ads like this if they do happen.

After reading the reviews for this app and a few others I'll pass, too many battery drain complaints and I don't want the double tap to wake the phone, had it on my HTC and it can be annoying, I prefer the home button.
