Samsung Apps download?

Turned my phone on this morning, and it immediately started downloading and installing Samsung Apps. Anybody know what that was all about?
Is Verizon getting us ready for KitKat?

Anybody know what that was all about?

Unknown - I don't use any of it so I've got it all disabled.
It may be that Samsung is getting its apps updated for KitKat, although why they wouldn't just roll it into the OTA is beyond me.
