Samsung apps keep downloading on their own?

I recently purchased a S7 with Verizon and I created a Samsung account so I could download themes for my phone. I noticed after that two apps downloaded on their own, Samsung Smart Switch and Samsung Galaxy Apps. It won't let me disable them or uninstall them, did signing up with an account let them install apps without my permission? I'm not very happy as my phone has used up half its storage already and I don't have much on it.

Clear the cache on the phone (settings>storage>clean}, I have a S7 running Nougat, that I had to do the same thing.

Make sure you turn off notifications for the specific apps. This goes for any uninstallable apps,
