I have the Samsung Captivate SGH-i896 (Rogers version) and was wondering if anyone had an idea of when a custom ROM might be made available for this device?

The i897 ones should work ... the international ones work for the i9000.

Out of curiosity, how did you get the i896 before release?

Does it play DivX without 3party app?

Has it been locked down more then others? Have you been able to get root on it?
