Samsung Captivate text messaging

I wanted to know if anyone knows if there is a way to change the colors of the text message bubbles from the blue & yellowish colors --
any help would be appreciated.

Currently there is not (unless I am blind) but you can try a different messenger like ChompSMS and Handcent which are very customizable.
