Samsung.com Orders

Just got an update that mine has left Greensboro at 7:01 pm. Hopefully that means delivery tomorrow.

I checked the app and mine left Greensboro at 7:25 pm. Odd that both are coming north and lesving at different times? Flights?

These devices aren't allowed to fly right? I think since the Note7 mess they all have to be transported on the ground via trucks.

I hate when that happens. So does that mean that FedEx is requiring a signature on all deliveries? Or would that be up the delivery driver to make his own discretion?
If it says direct signature required they used to make you sign it prior to covid. During peak pandemic they were mostly leaving everything and sometimes not even ringing the bell. It seems it varies by area and possibly also by driver. Mine didn't ask for a signature bit I confirmed they wouldn't leave it without someone to hand it to.

No there aren't any restrictions and that would be crazy if there was one. All phones are coming thru flight for any overnight and 2 day service.

I wasn't home yesterday for my delivery. Missed it by a few minutes, even though I paid for delivery between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (The attempt was made at 5:02 p.m) Today, I got permission to work at home. Was home all afternoon. No one came. Now it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, 2/24. On my Fedex app, it says delivery will be between 1:00 pm. and 5:00 p.m. The text message from Fedex to me says delivery will be 2/24 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m...My question is this, I do not want to get fired from my job. If I just am never home to sign for it and let it go back to Samsung, will Samsung they cancel my order and my trade in?
If they make 3 attempts to deliver and you're never there, then you'll be able to go to the FedEx location and pick it up yourself.

Another option is have packages shipped to your workplace. That was what I did when I was never home. The shipping clerk at my workplace got my packages and took them to me at my desk.

USPS is staring to look better every day.

What I've been going through with USPS lately makes me appreciate these 1 to 2-day delays and puts things into perspective. Sent a big box overseas via USPS EMS express mail, supposedly a 3-5 day service. I sent it a month ago; it's still sitting in NY as per tracking. No way a big box just gets lost, so I'm assuming it was an inside job and got stolen. Can't reach anyone on the phone for help and have to go through the lead guy at my local post office as a liaison to the outgoing customs dept by the airport. He's not getting any answers either.

I'll never complain about these minor delays from Samsung again.

Thanks for replying! I had no idea that Samsung was placing all these restrictions on the packages. In the past, I always had Fedex re-route the delivery to my local Fedex store and would pick it up there. If I had known there was no workaround to the direct signature, I would have definitely had it sent to my work address. Sigh...I sure hope I can go pick it up at Fedex at the end of the attempts.

I'm still jumping through hoops trying to get a refund for my missing tablet!

wait, your tablet got jacked too? Seems a lot lately having phones and expensive stuff stolen.

Do you think it's due to the labor shortage? These companies are having to lower their hiring standards and hiring felons and such who likely have a history of stealing because they can't find decent labor.

Either have them hold it at the fedex location, or request delivery to your job. All my important deliveries go to the job. No issues with having someone to sign, left outside, porch pirates, etc.

Edit. I see you got the same answer above. Best wishes!

Thanks! I have called Fedex a number of times, yesterday and today. I ask if I can pick up at the Fedex shipping store (really close to where I live). They say no due to shipper restrictions. I've tried to "manage my delivery" online and this is what I get.

Due to shipper restrictions, additional delivery
options are not available for this shipment.
For more information please contact the shipper.

I'll hope for the best, but I think I'm screwed. LOL!

Hmmm...Maybe contact Samsung, the shipper, as a last ditch effort? That bites big time.

My credit card charge went from pending to posted. Does that mean I should have a shipping label soon or does that not matter?

It's supposed to be on all s22 deliveries from Samsung, but I've read several people didn't have to sign

They didn't make me physically sign but as usually the Fedex lady rang the doorbell and stood there for me and handed my the box physically and even chatted a bit. No stupid silly mask or anything. I think it's the same lady that delivered mine the last two years.

I notice whenever I order something that comes 2nd day delivery or overnight it's always a different fedex person than when I order regular shipping for my business. Do they have a truck that handles the express deliveries?

I remember about 15 years ago my dad had to ship a Kimber 1911 Pistol off for repairs. They told him UPS can just pick it up at the house, just leave the package sitting outside. Yes, a $1200 pistol sitting outside for UPS to pickup. What could go wrong and remember firearms have to be marked on the box! You hear about guns being stolen all the time when being shipped.

I received a message that my phone has shipped. I have the FedEx app that shows the phone and silicone case have shipped.

My first and last phone order from Samsung! I will have to stay home from work to get my S22 Ultra. I can't request that the package be held for pickup or sent to FedEx partner for pickup. Also, FedEx has been told to return package and not hold for 5 days. I have tried to get hold of Samsung Customer service with no luck.

that stinks. I mean if I didn't do trade ins I'd just order from Amazon and have it sent to a locker if I had to. granted you get it on release day.

They'll go by air; maybe they try and limit it where they can, but mine traveled from TN to AK in a few hours.
