Samsung.com Pre-orders/Shipping Thread

Several questions for everyone/anyone:

1) When we ship our trade-in back to Samsung, it says to not include accessories. Does this mean I can keep the Note 9 S-Pen?

2) I'm using the pushed out shipping dates as a gauge here. Do you think Samsung met their expectations with the amount of orders they're getting? I feel that they might have fell short.

3) I know that I'm going to love my Note 10+ (and no matter what, it will be better than my N9) but does anyone else feel that they should have built a Note that is far superior to the S10 series...in every aspect?

4) Do you love this festive atmosphere, the waiting, the discussions, seeing the old online friends as much as I do? That's why years ago, I always loved waiting in line for the latest iPhones. It was exciting and fun. The anticipation was a great experience (until I got to the front of the line 5+ hours later and they ran out of phones).

So looking forward to this new gorgeous Note 10+...good times ahead.

With regard to #3 my answer is no. The S10 should be as good as it gets for people that don't want the Note

Definitely always great to see familiar names here and and sharing the excitement leading up to a new device, that's what makes this community here very special place to be .

Just an opinion on #1 . Without S-pen, there is no Note. I consider S-pen is not one of those accessories came in the box. Once again, just my opinion. Down below is from Samsung (for general)
" you should only ship the device back to Samsung, and if you no longer need them, discard the other accessories in accordance with your local trash and recycling regulations. No trade in value is offered on anything other than the device, and if you do ship accessories back with the device, those accessories will not be returned."

I hope we get some movement tomorrow. Hopefully they ship wed and get it fri.

That would be a dream come true. I haven't seen anything ship that early since the S6. I got that thing 11 days ahead of official launch date.

I don't believe you. Pre-orders started 4 days ago and it already feels like I've been waiting a week. I always get anxious waiting on pre orders. Go through so many emotions than it's over and my heart is fine until the next 4-6 months phone release lol.

Haha just think, right now closer than it's ever been to you getting your Note 10(+). :D

To comment #1 , I would consider not providing the S-Pen the equivalent of a chipped side-- the device is not in great condition.

#3 , I don't expect leaps in innovation every six months. Maybe this is because I'm a biennial upgrader. My friends who have a S10xxxx shouldn't be feeling the need to upgrade technologically. Even the Note 9 users should still be satisfied with their device. My husband's still happy with his Note 8, apparently. I'm not, but only because two years is as long as I'm willing to wait for a new phone, rather than any frustration with the Note 8 itself.

#4 , yes, it's great seeing all the old posters who've been rocking this forum. I haven't pre-ordered since the Note 4, so this is exciting.

I too never considered the S Pen as an accessory despite them selling spares. The fancy S Pens, like the ones they gave out at the Unpacked Event, I would think of those as accessories. Then again, you can buy a spare and use it simultaneously with your existing one, and then maybe that makes it an accessory. LOL

@Mike Dee,

I respectfully disagree. Historically, the Notes have been much better, spec wise, than the earlier-in-the-year "S" series phones that come out, not similar. Then the cycle continues with the next "S" series released in the 1st quarter of the following year having better specs than the previous Note. I think that this is one of the major reasons people are complaining with the N10 release. Of course those same people are complaining about the missing headphone jack and the MicroSD capability missing on the smaller Note 10 phone (I'm curious how many N10's will be sold).
I think that Samsung should have had a better camera (I realize that the S10+ camera is supposedly great), at least provided a headphone dongle and most certainly, should have included the 45W charger in the Note 10+ box. This phone is over a $1000.00 (did I say "thousand?!?!"). All-in-all, I'm spending my money and getting the Note 10+...I can't stand it...I must have it! :p (Haven't mentioned this fact to my Hubby yet...LOL!)

Just wondering why you wouldn't send it back.

A Spare to have "just in case" for my phone and Tab S3. Years ago I lost one. At least $29.99... I'll return it with the phone especially if what @Shelacios mentioned about it being like a chipped phone.

I do understand but I believe the the S-Pens are different sizes

I pre ordered the black N10+ 250GB, Carrier Sprint. My first time ordering through Samsung directly but they have the best deal. Does anyone who has ordered with them before know if it changes your upgrade ability through Sprint if you were just using your yearly upgrade? Also, they are offering a $19 bill credit using Sprint financing. Wondering how that is applied considering it is being purchased through Samsung? I tried asking Sprint but of course they were clueless.

The 19 is only for new lines. Otherwise it's 41ish for a 2 year contract or 45ish for the lease per month. Sprint is waiving the activation fee if you pre-order on sprint. I'm not sure about other sites. And then when you receive your phone, you can get the 150 credit by typing in your imei on the Samsung app.

I've never preordered anything... And this is torture, waiting for the 10+. I've been stuck with the note8 for 2 years for a lot of different reasons and have been dying to upgrade. Glad I waited though and didn't get the note9. It'll be a much sweeter experience....

I can see how an argument could be made to not upgrade if you are on the note 9. But not for me...lol

My order says everything coming on 8/23 except my led back case (27th), so may have to grab a cheap one to use for a couple of days. Or maybe I can enjoy its beauty for a brief time ??????

And the unlocked verison of the Glow is officially OOS. They won't even let you pre-order it anymore... Guess the blue will go out next...Screenshot_20190811-152240_Chrome.jpeg

Decided to jump on Note 10+. Was thinking would be too big and was going to pass but after seeing specs it is almost identical to Note 9 (had previously) dimensions so going for it.
