Should order a TMobile model it's basically unlocked if you pay full price.To get carrier bloat and beautiful carrier splash screen

That’s why I ordered unlocked. Or maybe it was for the extra trade in credits.

SO, I pre ordered on the 12th and I noticed that my card was charged right away and the charge hasn't fallen off my account yet. Anyone else have this happen??

That is one of the replacement kits. You get it when you have the regular kit already (with the light), and you need a new protector.

Different banks/credit card companies handle holds and pre-authorizations differently.

If you can't log back into your account, you can't factory reset... this will be a problem with trade in

I went and read up on my bank's preauth info. First pending is to make sure the money is held for the purchase. If the merchant does not finalize the transaction in a certain amount of time, the pending falls off and the available credit goes back up. Once the merchant finalizes the chargea, it pushes straight through. That's exactly what happened with mine. I'm no longer pending and I'm back at the full credit limit available. Never in my life have I been anxious to see a transaction post to my card. Also looking forward to the cash back.

I got a call from my credit union, where I have my CC - they noticed "unusual activity" on my card and wanted to verify the charges - one was the 10+ - I sure hope they give Samsung the money - order still shows "Expected Delivery - August 23rd 2019 - so I should be OK.

Once it drops off they can do another authorization, basically the cycle repeats until they ship when they do an actual charge. I think I posted in one of the threads with a link to target FAQ on how pre-order/authorization works on target and it's similar across all retailers.
This is also the time when few people say their orders magically got cancelled etc, the main reason for that most likely is the reauthorization probably didn't go thru and the order systems automatically cancelled the order.
