Samsung Connect App

Has anyone been successful with uninstalling this app? I noticed that under phone settings>apps it doesn't give you the option to uninstall - or even disable for that matter. However, there's an option to uninstall the app in the Google Play Store ... which I did, but the app is still on my phone! I can't get rid of it.

Well, apparently there's no getting rid of this app if you're on T-Mobile. It seems to be baked in. I can update it, but I can't delete it. I can't even disable it.

Is this Samsung Connect critical to anything on my phone? I see what it's supposed to do - act as a kind of universal remote for everything in your home. I simply don't see myself ever using this, so I'd like to hide it using Nova Launcher so it's out of my sight.

Just wanna make sure my device doesn't depend on this app for anything for basic functionality.

you don't need it and it's passive. if you have smart devices or a lot of bluetooth connected it's handy and easier than going through the bt settings.
