Wireless is the least efficient charging method, and bad for the environment. People using WiFi charging en masse has a far more negative environmental impact than Apple's peak charge time adjustments.

And if it breaks the S-pen, no thanks. Right move on Samsung's part.

They didn't remove wireless charging though, they just didn't include a feature that would ensure that the coils are aligned as well as possible making wireless charging as efficient as it could be. That justification is very specious.

Well, if you read an article from another online site that actually adds some facts, you'll hear that the phone was put in development long before the standard was finalized. Also, most of their current wifi charger and accessory line would not be fully compatible and problematic. That's what Samsung said.

When the author does not research, and fails to even explain what the new standard is, you end up with something kind of bland like a blog post rather than news. The author could do better, here. AI could write a better article than this -- or a better AI could.
