Samsung email App Keyboard Issues

Issue just started last week. First, the keyboard doesn't add the "." after two taps on the space bar. Setting is fine and works in every other app...ie: outlook, whatsapp, bbm, text. Also, something is off with the punctuation and symbols...the keyboard always doubles up. For example, I would try to type "$2.53" but the keyboard would change the "2" to a "$" and change the "5" to a ".", so it would look like "$$..3" It seems that if a letter or number follows a punctuation/symbol, it is replaced with the same symbol. Very frustrating. Same with brackets..."(samsung)" would be spelled as "((amsung)". Again, this is only a problem in the native Samsung email app that my work email is connected to. I've restarted my phone and ensured the keyboard and app are up to date. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks!!

Same here and cannot figure out why! Very frustrating to say the least.

Same issue here. The Keyboard works fine in all other apps: native or otherwise. I can't tell when the last email app update was or how to force stop or uninstall updates. Might have to call Samsung.

It is so bad for me, I added my work exchange account to Gmail, and have no issues there. It has definitely been caused by a recent update or security patch update.

Same here. "" & (( and the keyboard is really clunky and slow. Restarted phone, cleared cache, etc.

It definitely has been from a recent update because it was working fine just about 2 weeks ago.... I hope they fix it soon!!! It is very frustrating.

I just switched to the Google keyboard and that works fine. SwiftKey works fine too. Hopefully BlackBerry will make it's keyboard available for all android devices!!

Came here specifically looking for this issue. Very annoying. Got my S7 last Monday. It initially worked, but after the last update I get the same issues. Using apostrophes causes the following character to double up, i.e. that's or that'll becomes that'', Fred's becomes Fred'', same with $ or £. It doesn't auto capitalise after full stops either.

Hopefully Samsung will publish an update soon!

I installed SwiftKey and have had no more problems. Better looking keyboard too!

Same issue for me. It's infuriating as I only use the native email app for work and can't use Gmail because of the security settings. Have switched to Google keyboard, but it's not the same so it's doing my head in for different reasons
