Samsung Email App truncates attachments to multiple of 3 bytes

I emailed myself some p12 certificate and key files and was having a problem installing some of them. I hooked up adb and saw the certificate installer getting an exception because of early end of file. After a bunch of debugging and testing I discovered that the email app seems to truncate binary attachments to a multiple of 3 bytes. So a 1 byte file becomes 0, a 4 byte file becomes 3 bytes, etc. Perhaps a buggy uudecode implementation :-)

Is anyone else seeing this problem? I'm on Verizon and running 5.0.2.

Okay I figured it out. It wasn't the email app at fault (sorry Samsung :-)). It was a bug in z-push.
