Samsung email not pushing.

I’ve been using outlook for email for a long time but recently got a galaxy watch. Since the watch is supposed to be more full featured with Samsung apps I started using Samsung email but even though I have emails set to push I often don’t get them without refreshing or at least an hour later. Any advice or should I just switch back to outlook?

Any power-saving modes turned on? Is background data restricted for the Samsung Email app?

No power saving modes. I haven’t found any setting to check data restrictions but I’ve never purposefully restricted it.

Can you clarify -- is this an issue specifically with the Galaxy Watch, or have you only just noticed this on the phone after switching to the stock Email app?

I hadn’t been using Samsung email until I got the galaxy watch a week ago. I switched to stock apps since they work better(supposedly) with the watch. But the phone itself isn’t having emails pushed and sometimes it’s over an hour late regardless of the watch. Because of this I’ve switched back to outlook for now. That has brought its own issue of now not being able to set any email app as default. In default apps both of my email apps now say “no default set” but it’s greyed our so I can’t change it. Grrrr.... lol.

Have you already reviewed the refresh frequency for that email account in the Email app?

Yes I have it set to “auto(when received)”. All the other options are time intervals or manual. Im assuming auto means push.

Search your system settings for the battery optimization menu as well, where you can select individual apps to be optimized. Make sure the Email app isn't optimized.

No battery saving mode, then go to setting, check the notifications setting with your App
