Hi,

Does anyone know if the Samsung Fast Charge Stand for the Note 7 is the same one? Or is there a new version for the Note 7? Thanks.

Don't see why it would be any different since the Wireless Charging standard didn't change on the Note.

Posted this a couple of times but here it is once more. I waited to see if Samsung was going to announce a new stand. They didn't. So I grabbed the current or most recent one.

Just remember, Fast Wireless Charging is not as fast as Fast Charging on a wired charger (it's actually closer to a 'normal' wired charger). So don't think you'll get super fast charging with this one.

That is a very interesting, and informative fact I was't aware of. Guess I will not waste money on a wireless quick/fast charging station.

I a standard wireless charger for my note 5 and it works great for overnight, but if I need juice now I just plug it in to the fast charger. I'll still end up getting the fast charging stand just so I can check my phone while it's charging overnight.

Bought one yesterday as a pricematch from Best Buy. 41 bucks on Amazon or Target.

well from fast wirless charging stand it will full charge in about 2 hours, 20 mins. Which isn't far off what the iphone takes. on the cable will take 1 hour, 15 mins roughly.

If you are in no hurry to charge your device use the charging stand...like when you are sleeping over night but if it's needed quickly you use the cable

There's nothing wrong with it and it works great. Set your phone on at night and have a full charge in the AM. It's not meant to be used and expected to have such a quick charge when compared to wired. But it IS an faster than "regular" wireless charging.

Yup

Does it offer any other benefits ve wired? I've read about some that say they stop charging when the battery is detected as full. Is that a benefit unique to the wireless change stations?

The phone stops with it plugged in also.

The advantage is mainly convenience, and you are not putting wear and tear on the charging port.

While the fast wireless charger does not charge as fast as plugging in a fast charger, it does charge pretty fast. When i get up i check emails and such while im getting ready for work, i sometimes set it back on the charger while i finish getting ready and it tops it back off pretty fast.

I never cared anything about wireless charging until i got the flat samsung fast wireless charger for my note5 and i got spoiled quick!

They actually do have a new one coming. Looks the same but has its own internal that can charge your device without wires...
