Samsung finally has done something that only apple has done...

Well , How would you describe this "UI slower" ?

Slow as in "Takes more loading time" or
Slow as in "Feels stuttery" ?

Everything feels slower. More time between button press and action on the screen. Scrolling is slower (not scrolling in apps, scrolling through home screens and the app drawer). Animations are slower. There is no feeling of "immediacy".

Like others have said, on its own it's not slow. When compared to others, though, it feels slow. Another way to put it would be that it's fast, but others are faster.

I'm talking about a really small authorized dealer store. I was probably one of the very first people to play with it.

Oh well , I feel same when I use WP8 as opposed to iOS/Android where fps of WP and Touch response is simply awesome.
(I have seen iPhones , Nexus , WP7.5 and etc. none of them maintain fps as nice as WP8 imo)

But I got used to the speed of Android though , I wouldn't mind UI being slower or "lack of immediacy" (Yes , I have experienced iPhone 5S , Nexus 5 , HTC M7 etc. because I help my family/friends with their devices)

I felt that App performance on Galaxy devices is as good as other Android devices but yeah Touchwiz UI has really poor fps and animations , UI feels lot slower and inconsistent as well but general speed of scrolling lists or launching apps time is just as fast.

When I press an icon or scroll in WP , The screen just keeps up with my finger , The screens glide across during the transitions , I have never really experienced it so nicely done on any device.
(WP8 is too limited in features which is why I sold it , but I haven't come across such a nice fluid device on Android/iOS though).

As long as Samsung offers AMOLED display , SD-slot , removable battery and Great Camera , I will trade-off smoothness of UI because app performance is just same as other devices.
