Android Central Question

I had a notification popup on my s7 and it said something to the effect of support was being discontinued for the Samsung Focus app, which IMHO was the best integrated PIM on Android. But my phone rang, and now I can't find the notification anywhere. Did anyone else see that notification? What was the complete message?

I saw the same notice...when I tapped on it, it just disappeared and I haven't been able to find anything further since.

I agree that this is THE BEST app I have used so far for enterprise e-mail and I love the fact that it carries EVERY aspect of the full Windows Outlook client on my android device (tasks, global address list, notes, etc.).

I certainly hope that Samsung isn't throwing in the towel on this app, especially when it isn't really even 2 years old yet!

Are you sure? The notification I remember was to start using Samsung Focus because their discontinuing SideSync.

I am not 100% sure of the wording as I was travelling and assumed that tapping on the notification would give me some details, but it never did.

That would make me feel so much better if that is the case, but sidesync and focus are two apps with a completely different purpose, so not sure why Sammy would push you to use one because they are ending the other.

I received the same notification. Here is the notification:

"Notice of Termination of Samsung Focus"
Dear Customers,
Thank you for using Samsung Focus. We are very sorry to announce that we will end to support for Samsung Focus from 30th June 2018.
Although it's end of service , you can keep using Samsung Focus on your mobile device.

Thanks for the screenshot... This confirms my fears... Maybe (insert wishful thinking) they will keep developing the app for a little while longer before letting it go stale..

Funny...their FAQ page still doesn't mention this app being End of Service...Hopefully this was a fluke and the app will continue to be improved and supported, but still the most solid ActiveSync client I have found yet.
