Samsung Galaxy a10 hotspot lack of internet.

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy a10 phone with android 11. When i use it as a mobile hotspot for my Lenovo tablet, the tablet connects but there is no internet access for the tablet. Mobile data is on on the phone, as is data roaming.
If I hotspot using my partners Oppo phone, the tablet has an internet connection, which leads me to believe that the problem is with some setting in the Samsung phone.
Is anyone able to help?

Which carrier are you on? Are you certain your plan includes mobile hotspot tethering? If it does, are you certain you still have data available for tethering for the month? Many plans will give you only a certain amount of data per month for tethering, not unlimited.

Agree make sure you have hotspot data on your plan that's separate from mobile Data
