samsung galaxy note 3 front camera not working

when i go to take pictures with the front camera the screen is black then i get a error message saying server error accured. restart camera.

Have you tried clearing the cache for the camera? Settings>Application Manager>swipe over to all apps>scroll down to camera>click on it>click clear cache.
