Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Reading books?

Can anybody suggest some free e-book sites? I don't know of any other than a local library.

Try to Google 'free e-books'. Project GUTENBERG is one of the best. They have a large catalog so you will have to dig.

Love to read on my note. I suspect reading on eink is better though. I use a app to tone down the bright screen beyond stock and can read comfortable in bed for hours.

What application did you use to tone down the screen?

All the time. When I got my Note 2 I got rid of my Kindle and tablet; one machine does everything. Reading is much easier with Flygrip, a great device.

I felt the same way, but with 4 dogs in the house, books don't always survive. LOL.

I rarely pay for e-books though. There are plenty of sites out there that round up freebies and deals, so I use those. Sure, you're not going to get the latest bestseller but there are plenty to keep me amused.

Could you please give me some good sites for that?

Offhand, pixelofink.com, bookbub.com and ereadernewstoday.com. Also thecheapebook.com but they just moved so not set up yet.

You're not always going to get the genre you want but they usually put up a mix so check regularly. Most can be followed on Facebook or Twitter as well.

And don't forget the likes of Project Gutenberg :-)

Using the Kindle app and MoonReader Pro for epubs, Audible and Listen Audiobook for audibooks.
My iPad is getting dusty.

I use the Kindle app and the Sepia background. I turn down the brightness for reading in bed.

I've read about four books since late October when I got my phone. That beats the number of books I read n my GNex for the 2 years I had it.

With a title like that your 'significant other' should be worried! 😁

I think the size of the note is about as small as a device should be to read ebooks should be. I tried it on my S2 and gave up after 1 page.

I usually use my Playbook in bed to read. (about all its good for now). Note for lunch time at work.

Typed out on my Note 3 Phablet

I used to read on my S3 practically ever night.

I have a Kindle Paper white, but since I bought the Note 3 I haven't used it. It's just much easier to read with the Note. Considering selling it...

I find it much easier to read off one device. I used to carry around multiple device that does all the same thing, just different in size. I have some books on my nook app. It's nice not to have to carry my nook around.
