Why is it when I move apps, they show as Uninstalled?

Re: Moving apps to SD card

Are you moving them using the Application Manager or by just moving the folders manually? Also, do they show up as uninstalled and won't run or do they still run? Could you post a screenshot of where it shows as uninstalled?

Thanks!

Re: Moving apps to SD card

Have you unmounted or mounted your SD card with the phone on? Does it still show that way after rebooting?

Re: Moving apps to SD card

So I am having problems with a Sandisk ultra 64 card and formatted it. A couple of my apps had stored data on the card and they appeared greyed out like that until I reinstalled them.

I have the same card, weird.......once you add reinstall it, then move it again, it grays out again

So I tested that with some Angry Birds, and they played just as well and did not grey out.

I used Settings>Applications>Application Manager to move them.

Re: Moving apps to SD card

So right now I am Down in a Hole but will be climbing back out soon and I will download the Kitchen app, give it a try. I could use some good recipes thanks, ƬΣ.

Re: Moving apps to SD card

So I have a problem with the Sandisk ultra 64 gig when it gets around 40 gig of files on it. After that it continuously mounts and dismounts. I'm sending it in to get replaced. But I installed In the Kitchen with a 4 gig card and it moved fine and runs fine.

Re: Moving apps to SD card

I've always had issues with Samsung devices and SD Cards. I just use them to store files now, I lost some vacation pictures once when I didn't have connectivity to backup to Dropbox.

But yeah, that icon shows if you unmount the SD card (or if it's failing, it unmounts itself). Also, I'm not sure if the Note 4 does it, but the Tab S does. Whenever you reboot, it unmounts the SD Card and then remounts it AFTER reboot. Might not help for apps installed on SD Card.

Re: Moving apps to SD card

ive had the Scandisk 64 in my galaxy s3 and it always said "sd card unexpectedly removed...preparing sd card".....now i have the same card in my Note 4 with same issues.....i had to retstart my cell to see all the pics i had on my sd card...and have to do same now....which sd card should i get?...samsung 64 pro?? 64??

I'll be getting the note 4 from the note 3. I have a lot of apps and ton of photos and was wondering has anyone had problems using a 128gb on note 4? Thanks ahead of time. :)

Any of you having this problem also have the sandisk app installed? I did. I suspected it because of the way it was launching at startup after my upgrade to marshmallow. I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, and all now appears well. I will keep an eye on it for a few days to see if it holds true...
