I've read all the forums, or at least a large number of them with people having the same issues as me and I am not a step further from where I started 4 days ago when this happened.
For example:
*** Any time I attempt to open my gallery in my phone, it tells me..
"Unable to open Gallery. Go to Settings > Permissions, then allow the following permissions and try again: Contacts, Calendar, Location."
So, I click settings.
*** It takes me to a page that says "Apps that can appear on top." I click the triple dot in the upper right corner to allow system apps to also be in this list.
I scroll down and turn off every single app, allowing it to no longer "Appear on top"
So, I try again, returning to my Gallery.
............Same problem.
Well, alright, now I need to dig a little deeper.
So I go to my app page and open up my Settings < Application Manager
I find my Gallery.
I click said Gallery.
I scroll to where it says "Permissions"
I click, and it takes me to a list of possible permissions for my gallery.
*** No matter what I click, even after everything, I get yet ANOTHER error message saying "Screen Overlay Detected: To change this permission setting you have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps."
Once again, I click "Open Settings"
Immediately taking me back to the list of "Apps that can appear on top"
*Reminder I turned off every single possible thing in the list in the beginning.
From there, I am totally lost, I am in this never ending cycle of repeated instructions (And a very vague one at that)
Someone please help me fix this, I haven't been able to play Pokemon GO in days.
