I reset the factory default multiple times and even loaded old firmware... no dice. Also tried turning my fios router into a bridge and using another router I had, no dice (cant buy a new verizon modem/router as it is a COAX connection). Finally called VZW and they are sending me a new note 4. hopefully thats the issue, we will see.

I upgraded my router from fios to the newest router (quantum gateway) and it's STILL happening. Rrrrrrrrgsgsgsg
I used to have this trouble of slow wifi with Facebook/google/youtube while mobile data works fine. Here's what worked for me try it:
Download DNSet from google play and use it. When it is turned on the problem is fixed. It sets the DNS to google's.

thanks for the suggestion I hadn't tried that yet, although I have already switched my router DNS servers to the google servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Unfortunately it didn't work =\
i had the exact same issue, wifi router is a tp-link.
first seconds everythign ok then deadly slow. i figured out the problem,in my case it is network encryption problem because when i disabled the wifi security everything went ok, btw you can still have it working with wpa usinf fixed ip instead dhcp, my procedure:
-access the router config page take note of the SSID, ad give your note4 mac address (fromt the dhcp table) a fixed ip and take note.
-turn off the router
-delete the network on the phone
-add manually the network by inserting the ssid, the wpa password then check advanced settings and insert the ip manually as well as the gateway (the router ip) and save
-turn on the router again
it worked for me nevertheless its a shame that ppl have these issues for what it costs.

simone thanks for the detailed reply. unfortunately it did not work for me. I disabled all security and it was still slow. I assigned the Note 4 a static IP address anyway in the router to see if it would work, but it did not.
Meshe, yes mine works correctly in airplane mode as well. So frustrating that I cant have the cell network enabled and working wifi at the same time.

I've been battling the same issue as all of you describe...
Two phones in my house have this issue. Both Verizon Phones, Samsung S5 and with a Note 4. HTC devices seem to work fine.
The Samsung devices only seem to exhibit the slow WiFi access with Facebook, Google Play.. maybe a couple others.
Web browsing seems to work ok for the most part.
My most recent effort was to change my local lan from 10.11.11.x to 192.168.1.x - so far the first few minutes of testing seems promising. I will try to report back...

Same issue with wifi and same apps. I have netgear newest router cable modem that I am using with xfinity since xfinity modem router is junk. So it must be note issue not routers
I am having the same issues. Just got it last night. I am having flashbacks to my Droid Bionic switching issues..... Thanks for all the input in this thread. Will work on it and see what it is.
Update : Seems to be an issue with Mobile Network and WiFi. Airplane Mode with WiFi on works fine, 4G no WiFi works fine. Both on, slow WiFi. My Cable modem is new, router is Netgear brand new. I'm having a very similar issue, no resolve yet.
A bit of back story. The fiance and I both bought Galaxy S6's. Works great except my Facebook app takes forever to load over WiFi. Her seems to work fine though. My WiFi is plenty fast enough and I've tried uninstalling/re-installing the app. Even went as far as factory resetting my phone.
I'm sure their is some switch or setting i clicked that she didn't. I know it's a silly thing, but man is it driving me crazy.

Same issue I have a Belkin AC1800 router...paid a pretty penny for it too. The Note 4 doesn't work when wifi and 4g are turned on...ugh!
Sounds like a Verizon issue. I never turn off my data or WiFi and my AT&T N4 doesn't have that issue.

Check the router. If it's set fot TKIP or TKIP+AES encryption, change it to AES encryption. Then restart the router, forget the connection in the phone and connect again.
The better routers seem to have this problem, with Linksys probably being the worst - it won't even work on AES. The Netgear WNR2000, something I never would have thought of taking for free, works just fine. It's $40.
(Something tells me that another "standard" bit the dust, and different manufacturers are implementing different protocols and calling them by the same name - so TKIP doesn't really mean TKIP, it means "our version of TKIP" - which may not be the same version your router uses.)

Finally fixed this after weeks of struggling. I downgraded the firmware on my Belkin AC1800 modem to version 1.00.25 (it was on 1.03.04). Whats funny is the version I downgraded to is from 2012, go figure. Sure it could have been something else since this also did a factory reset, but I'm not going to chance it and upgrade the firmware.
Works like a charm now, blazing speeds on all apps. Speed on the speettest app is the same as before (120 mbps down, 15mbps up...yes, it's fast, which is why I was concerned my facebook wasn't even loading images).
