Ive noticed a couple of articles pop up on some of the android pages and a couple of them are saying possible mid July release. (Makes me wonder if samsung is trying to distance itself more from iphone release dates)

Anyway saw one that said the following specs (which i think is more if a guess)

6inch screen (4k) (another is saying 5.8)
4000mah battery
Possible flexible display
Sdcard to the new samsung 256g card
Android N
6gig ram

I still dont care about 4k, but thats just me, and 6 inch if it stays decent size, i like the 5.7 myself
Depending on what the flexible display is used as i may care or maybe not like it.
4000mah batt. Love that idea!
Sdcard, i dont care about adaptable storage, but i know its useful to some, like the sdcard idea which is kind of a given at this point.
Android N. I dont want it on a phone until its ready, MM is fine and they can send me N when its a good solid update.

Whatever comes, im just glad to be seeing rumors start!!

Sent with my white Note5 with nonremovable back and no SDcard!

Re: Seeing new guesses on note6 release

The differences between a 6" screen and a 5.8" screen are pretty irrelevant (unless you're using a large magnifying lens) and the 4000mAh battery is also pretty irrelevant (try being in airplane mode for 48 minutes per hour), but the addition of the SDXC hardware is nice (if they'll let you use it as a straight storage card - knowing Samsung, they won't.

Adoptable storage is one of the worst ideas they've come up with. Putting 4k on a screen so small you have to use a microscope to see it isn't such a great idea either. (Are you really going to cast that phone to a 90" TV?) N? That's as unknown a quantity as Windows 15.

Put the SD card back, let it be bootable and let us replace the battery if needed. (There's nothing like a 3 week old phone with a dendrite in the battery. Three weeks or not, the battery isn't under warranty, it's a "consumable".) IOW, stop coming up with more gimmicks we don't need and fix the ones we have that don't work. (Waterproof - not water resistant, waterproof - electronics is a bit old already - about 72 years old - so what's with the "oh, so new" you can breathe on it without destroying it water resistance? Work on a hard tough screen (the two are opposites right now - you can't scratch water). But 4k on a 6" screen? To see any difference from 4k, you need to be 3.5 feet or closer on a 55" screen! Imagine sitting that close to a 55" screen and seeing anything but dots. On a 6" screen? It probably has to be embedded inside your eyeball. Stop with the gimmicks - start with the quality.

Re: Seeing new guesses on note6 release

Rukbat,

I agree that i don't care anything about the 4k, problem is it's probably coming at some point just for bragging rights.

As far as the 4000mah battery, my guess is it will be the 3600mah that is in the s7edge and s6active. I want a bigger battery, bigger than 3000mah that is in the note5. I personally dont care if its removable.

As far as the sdcard, i dont know much about adaptable storage other than people seem to want it and have reason for it. For me it would hold music pics and videos.

As far as screen size, the 5.8 is ever so slightly bigger than the current 5.7. The 6 is slightly bigger than the 5.8.. but there is a noticeable difference between 5.7 and 6. If the 6inch could be put in a phone and keep it smaller than the moto nexus, i would probably still get it even though i love the size of the note5.

Guess we will see, im open to some changes, hope the battery size and sdcard are the biggest changes though.

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date Rumors: To Launch In July With Android N!
If these Rumors are true. I will be there Day1.

We’re going to flag today’s rumor for caution, but here it is nonetheless: Korean publication The Bell is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be launching as soon as July. It’s odd timing considering Samsung usually waits until early Fall to unveil new devices in the lineup at IFA Berlin.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung wants to break the status quo, though. They did greatly accelerate launch plans for the Samsung Galaxy S6, after all, and they likely want to be the best and only viable phablet option on store shelves before consumers have a chance to consider anything else.

But even more interesting than that is that the device is also supposedly going to launch with Android N. That would seem to indicate Google will release the final stable form of the OS update no later than July, which falls right in line with the Summer launch expectations they’ve already talked about. We could see it sooner, even, but it’s too early (and the source isn’t veritable enough) to start placing bets on anything.

Anyway, here’s a rundown of what the early rumors say to expect from the device, hardware-wise:

5.8-inch 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display
12MP Super OIS camera
S-Pen
64GB / 128GB of storage
6GB of RAM

Sounds like something to get excited for, but with how varied the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge rumors were before launch we won’t be shocked if it turns out to be something totally different.

I would really like to see a 6 inch screen, and get rid of the push to operate home button....... a fingerprint scanner on the back please 😊!

Went not just buy a nexus if that's what u want? Samsung will never do that.

Im prob one of the few people who like the home button. Have had phones with on screen buttons and wasn't impressed.

The fingerprint scanner being on the back will be a pain if your phone is in a car phone holder, i realize some people like it on the back, but the note is pretty much a two handed phone as it is, so being on the home button really isn't an issue.

I like the home button too.. Am I the only who thinks that maybe having 6gb of ram on a phone might be overkill? Sometimes I think it would be better if samsung had better ram management instead of just more ram each time.

Could you elaborate on that a bit? Not sure I followed. What restrictions on storage would there be? You couldn't use it for media, for example (vids, mpe3s)?

No because if it is suppose to Dock into a docking station that has windows 10. It will not struggle.

That's true. If that will be the case, then it would make more sense. However, if that won't come true, then I wonder if it would be worth it.. Depends on what they have planned for it I guess..

The odds of the Note 6 being released in summer are low and the odds of Google releasing Android N before it is ready and/or allowing Samsung to release it before it is ready are far lower. Multiplying those probabilities gives you something so close to 0 that believing it will happen is somewhat perverse. The storage options and RAM listed in this rumor alone would have made me dismiss the entire article, however I'd be willing to consider an a fortiori argument that maybe Samsung will get it right and release the Note 6 with N this fall - but that'd mean the Note 6 was coming later in the year than normal, and there's almost no lead time available for them to Samsungify the software, which means it'd be a buggy mess.

Here are more reasonable predictions for the Note 6:

5.7" 2560 x 1440 Display
Same exact camera as the S7 Edge
S-Pen
32 GB Storage with MicroSD Slot
3600 mAh battery
4 GB RAM

Oh wait, this sounds like a bigger S7 Edge with a pen. Because that's probably what it will be :) In approximately October.

Re: Seeing new guesses on note6 release

I agree with Rukbat (on most points)! Note 4 was close to perfect, so just give me something similar with a larger screen and user-replaceable battery and I'm in. Otherwise, if it's similar to the Note 5 I'm out, no thanks! They can keep that built-in obsolescence glass backed crap, I'm not buying it!!!! Do you here me Samsung if you're reading this? Return the Note series to its former glory! I don't want something similar to the S series!!!!! Grrrr!!!!!

Synycalwon you need a time machine! Don't forget, the designs for this thing were already final or near enough that we couldn't do anything about them before they leaked the Note 5. You'll need to go back to early 2015, find Sarah Connor....

Re: Seeing new guesses on note6 release

I am inclined to agree with Assassin Droid. Android N is still in the developer preview -- for all the kinks to be worked out, given to Samsung for all their modifications, and then released in July? That seems just a little too out there.

The timeline on the dev preview indicates that we should expect a final version in Q4.

The only reason Samsung goes the 4k route would be for vr. I don't see a reason for them to make my phone more expensive and battery hog otherwise. The QHD is perfect.

Note 4 sucked big balls compared to the note 5 and even the note 3. Nothing about the note 4 should return. I'm with you on the larger display. The note is no longer pushing the phablet industry. I think bigger will work.
