I'm looking for the best backup directly to my 64GB SD card with recovery directly from said card.
Something so I can totally foobar the Note 8, do a factory reboot and restore without going on line or hooking up to a PC.
If such is not possible - what's the best closest alternative?
Helium requires root and a PC
Several other's I've played with backup to dropbox or such.

/edit - I tried helium again, it doesn't require root now but it wouldn't take the Samsung drivers.

GAD!!!
I had to update Kies and then since USB debugging is hidden fiddle around until I could get it turned on.
I now have a carbon folder with 50 sub folders and 201 files.on my SD card.
