I've posted about this particular question before, but I don't know where to view any answers that I may have received. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and for whatever reason, the eBay app will not install. I've tried absolutely everything. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, powered off my phone and restarted, and cleared cache. Can anyone help me, please? Please e-mail me at [removed by moderator]. Any and all help will be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. I'll move your thread to the Note 8 forum for better visibility.

Please forgive me, but how do I get to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Forum? Surely, I'm not the only individual experiencing this particular installment issue, specifically for the eBay app. Please help... :)

Have you tried to find a .APK file to side load it without the use of the App Store?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the eBay App Installment

I've posted several times at different "forum levels", but I just joined this Android Community and I'm unsure of how to find answers to my question so I thought I would post to this particular forum.
I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and I love it, even if it took me a little while to become comfortable with it.
All of my apps were moved over from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 via Verizon Wireless.
I use eBay a lot, more than I should; however, I cannot get the eBay app installed on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I've tried everything in the world, even called Verizon. It looks as if it is going to install, but never does so.
I have uninstalled it, re-installed, restarted my phone, shut down my phone, and even cleared cache.
Surely, I'm not the only individual experiencing this particular issue.
Many of you are probably laughing at me for asking such a silly question over a "shopping" app, but I would really, really appreciate any and all help that someone much smarter than me could possibly help me. Now, i just hope to find where I posted this particular question to determine if there have been any responses.
I'm completely at a loss and I can't find anyone to help me.
I've even e-mailed eBay directly, but was told that there were no known issues with their app and my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
Once again, please help.
I greatly appreciate any and all help in advance.

Duplicate threads merged.

It's no laughing matter when such a common app as eBay won't install -- I can understand why it would cause concern. I'm going to fire off a barrage of questions:

1. Are you installing from the Play Store?
2. Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?
3. When you say you cleared the cache, do you mean the system cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-36229
4. Did you get your Note8 directly from Verizon, or did you get it as an unlocked phone from somewhere else?

If you haven't already, try going to Settings>Apps, select Google Play Store, tap Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager -- you probably have to tap Menu>Show System to see it. Now try again.

Dear Sir,
I obviously don't know you, but if I did, I would send you a thank you card, along with a gift card inside of it. I have been dealing this this same issue, eBay not installing, for over 2 weeks and I've spoken with so many people, even 3 Verizon Wireless representatives. I followed your instructions as you provided, which, by the way, were very easy for me to understand. I did as you instructed and now I have the eBay app installed on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, all of that work when I wish I had known you so much longer ago. You are absolutely the BEST!!! Although it's just an eBay app, you certainly made my day. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
