That Ipulse one is pretty nice. I am using it when I go out at night and for dinner with family. Great not taking a wallet, and it's a pretty case.

I have the Tech21 case. It's really nice and I definitely recommend it. It seems to offer a fair degree of protection for a case that is thin and light. All the vulnerable edges are covered with cushioned plastic material. The materials are top notch. The back is glossy and like to hold fingerprints though, although that is a minor complaint.

I've never had a wallet case before - I usually like holster type of cases (like the Seido surface/dilex). I like cases with some kind of cover for the screen, which is why I used to opt for holster/case combos. I went for the wallet because this is such a big honking phone and I though the wallet would add less bulk than a holster (and it does).
My main complaint about the wallet is that it precludes you from putting the phone in any kind of cradle for mounting on a windshield or something.

All in all, thumbs up for me. I like this case about as much as I ever liked a case.

Bestbuy has the Tech21 right now but it is insanely expensive ($54). At least you can go there and play with the case to see if it fits your needs.

Oh, and I can confirm that this case does not interfere with Qi charging.

Thanks for posting that.... the cards coming in contact with the screen is one of the reasons I get the Damda Glide or the Slim Armor CS type of case with the door in the back. If that layer is there then I may just pick up the Tech 21 case to try it out.

Holy Cow it's 55 bones on Amazon. Are they always this pricey? Hoping that price comes down some after launch.....

The S8 cases came down way quick. I love my Tech 21 case but it is certainly NOT worth that price. Not even close.

I wound up getting a pretty insane deal on the Note 8. Because of an issue at my provider, they replaced my Note 5 with a Note 8 for $155. So, I felt like I could afford a little splurge on the Tech 21 wallet at nearly full price (less then a $25 loyality coupon I had for BestBuy)

Just thought I'd post a link to my 2nd Note 8 wallet. Unfortunately the 1st had magnet conflicts with the S-Pen, but this newer case has been very nice so far.

It is a wallet case by Amovo. Things I like the best are:

• Dual case system. The inner shell is held on by magnets which lets me remove it when I get in my car and put it in the car phone holder with no issues
• The magnets are very strong,no slippage from the inner shell.
• No S-Pen issues
• The inner shell is also very protective, with thick edges and raised corners to protect the face of the phone.

Things I didn't like so much:

• A tiny bit bulkier than my prior wallet case
• Won't wireless charge with both inner and outer case on. Not a big deal really as it takes all of 1 second to remove it from the outer shell to place on the charger

I just received this case and agree with the above-review. The 2-in-1 is really handy. The other drawback is that the wallet case does not act as a stand like other cases.

How are the cutouts on that amovo case? Much effort to push the buttons?

Actually it does have a stand Timomsu. It's not obvious, as I didn't see it at first either. The back portion of the case folds in half with the top portion still serving as a magnet to keep the inner shell attached and the bottom portion serving as a normal foldable stand that most wallets use.

As for the cutouts, they seem fine to me. Not as difficult to pull my S-Pen out as in my previous case. Th power and volume buttons are very responsive. I haven't tried the audio jack cutout.

I got the iPulse leather case too. I've never used a wallet case, so, I'm anxious to try it. Looks great.

Having had both before for other phones, I know they're very well made and look well too. I only really use them when I'm out and about on social outings, so no need to take my wallet with me also. Otherwise, my Note 8 will sit in it's i-Blason rugged case
