Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Won't Play 1080p HD Video. The tablet claims unsupported video codec. If I take the same video and save it as 720p HD, using the same program (HitFilm 4 Express) that made the 1080p video with all the same settings, the 720p video plays.

Why can't the tablet play the 1080p version? Everything is the same except for the HD quality.

The problem is the limp Samsung video player. I installed a different video player and the 1080p videos play just fine on the tablet. Thanks Samsung!

I just got myself a used Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 for a very reasonable price. The default video player that came with the tab can play 1080p without problem, But when it comes to a 4K video(Mp4 H,264), it does not support the coded AAC audio, so there is no sound when playing the 4K video. However , I tried downloading some free video players from Playstore, I finally found one good and free player which can play 4K video and support AAC audio. It is called "Video Player All Format" ( dev. by InShot Inc), It's selling point is "support 4K & HD video, no banner ads". If you have problem playing the video, I think you can give it a try.
