I'm brand new to pretty much every smart phone. I 'm upgrading from a Samsung impression(messaging phone). I have a few questions, please.
I've been following the smart phone arena for months and months. I've narrowed my choice down to the upcoming Skyrocket HD or the HTC One X. The specs, according to phonearena.com, are extremely similiar. Looks like they both should be coming out ~April if the manufacturers are accurate with their "by end of first quarter" timeline. It seems it comes down to which UI, if I am not mistaken.
1. Any specific gripes for HTC vs Skyrocket HD which you have experienced? Any advantages vs.
disadvantages?
One thing for me is bloatware crap. I don't like it. I don't need it and I don't want it. I've read that HTC has a little quirk of restoring bloatware, unless I perma-root the phone. I do not know if I will try to root my future phone.
2. That's for later and a separate issue, unless it should be pertinent to my selection of phone? Either phone
has less than the other?
It's hard to get a true and practical real world test run in an AT&T store and CNet, et al, only touches on highlights when they do a hands on review.
3. Any other insights that you have personally gained from real world use?
I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot, but I really, REALLY, REEAAAALLLYYY hate buyer's remorse and phones are a tidy sum of money nowadays.
