Samsung Galaxy S2

I am assuming it will launch in Q4 of this year side-by-side with the Moto Bionic. Verizon never launches new technology solo

Droid3 launched solo and with little fanfare. Its the first phone with the TI OMAP4 chipset (same as bionic) Though its unclear if the bionic with have the 4430 or 4460.

but back on topic, kinda. My gf is about to leave vzw for sprint, and I'm really hoping a next gen phone comes out before she switches. She's like me, and needs a keyboard, and the only one on sprint that looks at all decent is the samsung epic 4g. but thats still the galaxy s line, which is outgoing tech so far as I'm concerned. (although, like me, she doesn't particularly like the oversaturated colors of the samsung screens)

Is there any rumor of a slider galaxy s2?

I really want her to get a phone that is comparable to the D3, but right now, no phone in the US seems to match the D3 and its TI OMAP4430.

I might try to convince her of the moto photon, but it seems for her, no keyboard = no deal.

From what I've read so far a Epic4G2 is coming out but its a singal core 1.2 ghz . Depending on how strong her feelings are she may give up the need for a keyboard when the GSII comes out. I just got my wife the EVO and she loves it.... but still adjusting lol. shes getting better at the touch screen.

It's coming to vzw but there isn't a date yet. Maybe September

The Samsung slider is Verizon's copy of the epic. The photon comes out in a couple of weeks for Sprint so that means Verizon should release the bionic in... say...a year or so.
