Hi there,

I'm hoping that someone can answer for Koodo as well.

Two of us bought S3 phones from different stores on Thursday and we are both having the same issue. The model of the phone is the SGH-I747M.

I was on a call when a second call came in so I answered the 2nd call and put the 1st one on hold. No problem so far. When I went back to the 1st call, I couldn't hear the other person but they could hear me. I tried this a few times and every time the same thing would happen. Once I switched back to the 1st call, I can't hear anything but the other person can hear me perfectly.

So far I have tried the following:
1. In Phone Settings, I made sure that Call Waiting is activated. It is (which was obvious since I wouldn't have been able to receive the 2nd call at all).
2. I tried putting the phone on mute and taking it off mute while on the troubled call.
3. I tried using speakerphone and the handset and the problem was the same.
4. I contacted Samsung support and they suggested that I turn it off, remove the battery for 30 seconds and then turn it on (which, of course, made no difference) and they also suggested that I consult the manual on how to switch from one call to the next (also made no difference since that wasn't the problem in the first place). Then they suggested that I have the carrier test the phone and see if it needs to be returned for repair.

Since two of us are experiencing the same issue, I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if anyone knows a fix.

Thanks in advance :)

How did you end the 2nd call - did you hang up or did the other person hang up? Since you seem to be experimenting, have you tried doing the opposite just to see if it makes a difference?

Have you tried switching back to the first caller before the second call is terminated just to see if the audio levels work as expected?

I tried putting the second call on hold and switching back to the first. I tried ending the second call. I tried merging the two calls (which worked) but once one caller hangs up, the audio on the other call remains one-way.

That is too weird - I'm officially stumped. Sorry. Unless you have a 3rd party calling app installed (Skype, etc) I'm fresh out of questions or ideas.

I have Skype installed but I'm not logged in. I'm beginning to think it might be a network issue but so far, everyone I have spoken to is stumped :(

I'd suggest booting into Safe mode and see if the problem persists. There may be a 3rd party app (like Skype) that's causing this problem - it's not normal behavior.
