Samsung Galaxy S3 Static noise w/ earphones

Just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 yesterday and am having problems with static noise when using my klipsch s4i earphones. Anytime I listen to music on Pandora or watching videos on YouTube, I can hear static in the background. Its not the earphones because I checked if it happened on ny iphone 3gs and it sounded perfect. & Yes, the earphones are plugged in correctly. Very irritated right now. Please help.

What happens when you use the Samsung earphones that came with the phone? I'd want to see that data point before assuming that the phone is the problem. If you get the same results with the Samsung headphones then it's probably time to get the phone replaced; if the Samsung headphones work fine then it's time to try some other headphones and see what happens.
