Samsung Galaxy S4 Charging Issues

Hi everybody,

I bought a Galaxy S4 8 months ago, and it has worked perfectly up until 4 days ago. It now refuses to charge when connected to a wall charger, but it charges fine when connected to my laptop. I've tried 4 different chargers, and 6 different cables, but the only thing that works is connecting it to my laptop. Also, if I connect it to my laptop for 10 or 15 minutes, and then unplug it and connect it to a wall charger, it will charge to 45% battery and stop. To add to the frustration, it will sometimes have the little lightning bolt charging symbol up, but still won't charge. I had the phone factory-reset by Virgin Mobile (who thought it was a software issue) and it charged using my personal OEM charging equipment while I was in the Virgin Mobile store, so I thought it was fixed, and it even worked at home for a few hours, but now it won't work again, and I'm officially out of ideas. I'd really appreciate some help.

I've tried clearing caches, toggling various modes, taking out the battery, "wiggling" the charging cable, cleaning out the ports... Pretty much everything. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be very appreciative, because I haven't had any issues with my phone otherwise, and I do love the darn thing.

Well, all the things that I was planning to suggest you already applied that I am left with just nothing more than going back to the support centre for fixing up the issue I think they are the only one who can help you out with this issue.

I am having the same problem with my s4. Thanks for the idea to charge it on my computer.
I don't plug it into the machine often enough to have figured out that would solve it.
I have another s4 with a dead screen that I use to charge the batteriesand every day I need to swap the batteries.
It also seems to go through the battery life very quickly and I can't get the map function to work properly

You need to have a new USB Charging Dock Port Flex Cable for Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 i337 i545 UK put. get it look at phone shop or do it your self for around £15 pound. If you have a shop to do it for you it will be £50 pounds.
