samsung galaxy s4 email ringtone

just got the s4 today, I noticed for my email, there is no ringtone or alert to tell u when u have no email.. why is this. I opened up my email, clicked on settings and no where does it say ringtone or notification....... help please.

Let me understand you.... you want a notification when you have "no email"... is that correct? I have never heard of this option on any phone.

Have you tried going into the phone settings and go to My device and select Sounds? From there you can select notification sounds.
