Samsung Galaxy S4 keeps randomly turning off

Starting November 2016, one of my two Samsung Galaxy S4s has been randomly turning off, especially when using Chrome. On both phones, I use incognito mode in Chrome most of the time, but despite this, my second S4 doesn't randomly turn itself off. I'm also suspecting that it may be because my first S4 has an SD card, and I've placed many apps that take up a lot of space in that SD card. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I've heard that other people experience similar issues and some of them have tried a factory reset to no avail.

I wonder if that SD card might be corrupted. Although it'd be a hassle, it may be worth moving the apps back to Internal Storage, backing up the data that's on the SD card, unmounting and removing it, then trying a new card. If you don't have room on Internal Storage to move all apps back there, then you may have to temporarily uninstall some of them.

Whew, for a second there I thought it might have been almost unfixable! I'll try that out soon. Thank you for the tip!

Update: I remembered that when I got my SD card, it accidentally popped out, prompting my S4 to say "the SD card was unexpectedly removed."

I also got the same message when I accidentally removed the SD card too soon after pressing the "Unmount SD card" button (although this happened AFTER my S4 kept randomly turning off). Based on this, it might also be the battery as I thought before.
