When I go to look at all my photos in my album they now no longer show up. But they are on my phone because when I look on Google+ they are still connecting to it. Why can I not access my photos?

There is a difference between saving your photos to the cloud (i.e. Google Drive server) versus saving them on your phone. Do you have a memory card install'd, and did you set your camera options to save pics there?

Yes and yes. But all the pics used to always be in the gallery/album on my phone as well as the Google+ photo spot.

Hmm, maybe your media data got lost. You can force it to refresh by clearing media storage and then rebooting the phone. That is,

Settings > App Manager > All > Media Storage > Clear Data

Then, after data and cache are all zero's, back out to home screen, press and hold power button, and select Reboot. If this fails to bring your pics back into Gallery, then your card becomes the #1 suspect. If you have root access, then check your DCIM folder. If not, then I'd suggest removing the card and using a desktop computer to see what's actually on it.
