Samsung galaxy s4 sph-l720 from sprint work on the wind network?

[AC Question]

Today I went to the Wind store and asked if my sister's Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720 from Sprint would work on their frequency - as I have a crap phone from them and would like to switch to my sister's phone. I was told not this model. Is there a way to get it to work?? I'm in Ontario, Canada, if that makes a difference and she did live in NY. Any suggestions?

My research shows Wind needs the 1700 band and your S4 model simply does not have that frequency on the radio.

Sorry, there is no way to force that. It is a hardware limitation. If you can find a deal on an Unlocked T-Mobile phone, that would have the right band.
