Samsung Galaxy S4 very hot now dead

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which went very hot and died I purchased another battery and it also went very hot and did not charge and also died.

Any Ideas what type of repairs is needed or would it be cheaper to buy one with broken screen to make one out of the two?

Welcome to Android Central! Might be a fried motherboard. A corrupt SD card can also cause the phone to heat up, although this is usually after it has booted up successfully. It's still worth removing the SD card and trying to power on again, though.
