Samsung Galaxy S4: Wi-Fi to 4G

For the last week or so when I turn on the wi-fi it goes from 4G to wi-fi just fine. Then when I turn the wi-fi off the 4G does NOT come back. I have no data connectivity, just phone service. The same occurs if the wi-fi is left on but when I move out of range of the router. Again the 4G does not kick back in. When I reboot (with wi-fi off) then the 4G is there again. But then I turn wi-fi on and then off again and the problem is back.

Can anybody solve this one?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Wi-fi, and tap Menu>Advanced. Is there a Smart Network Switch option? If so, turn it off. It might also be in the Settings>Wireless & Networks>More​ menu.
