Samsung Galaxy s4 - widgets will not display

I'm a long time iPhone user who just switched to Android and I love it so far, except... I can't get many widgets to display on my home screens AT ALL. I know how to move them to the screen and some work just fine. But others, like the weather widgets, let me drag them and then enter the settings, but then disappear - not displaying on the screen. I'm guessing I inadvertently changed a setting or something, but I'm stumped. Help?

Mine too, i have a galaxy s4 4 g, and since the new update that was installed by ota a few weeks ago,i see the sidget, then i place the seetings and then it says that its on the screen, but nothing is there, only the widgets that come with the phone that i can manager to intall on the main screen, 80% of other that i paid, nothing, fix this, or i will move to iphone, whey people realise stuff without testing

I'm having the exact same issue, only the stock weather widget will stick.
