Android Central Question

Samsung SM-G900V, Android v6.0.1. I commonly use the phone to play music via bluetooth through headphones, receiver, speakers, and car audio. Today I was listening to music via bluetooth through my receiver and, in the middle of a song, the music quit. I can still pair and connect the phone to all the above devices. The beeps, alarms, etc. from the phone are still audible through the devices. If I play the music on the phone speaker it plays and when I connect to one of the devices it quits playing on the phone speaker, but there is no music on the device. I have tried different apps to play the music with the same result. I have powered down and restarted the phone and the devices. I have cleared the bluetooth cache. TIA for any help.
