Samsung Galaxy S5 flip case - Camera opens by default when opened

I just got this Samsung S5 case (the one without the window on the front) and it worked fine until my son got a hold of it, now when you open the cover, the camera automatically opens...how do I turn this feature off? I've scoured the settings and couldn't find anything.

Have you tried taking off the case and see if it still opens?

My boyfriend just got the phone and case and his is doing this as well! i've been trying to get it to stop but I can't find anything in the settings for it.
