samsung galaxy s6 charging help please

When i put my Samsung galaxy s6 on charge now it wont fast charge and keeps showing up "CONNECTED AS A MEDIA DEVICE". im using the right cable and adapter, same charger used to work fine. I tried a few different cables and showing up the same. Any help would be greatful

Make sure the phone's microUSB port is clear of any debris -- use a can of compressed air to blow it out.

Yeah it's fully clean and used compressed air as well. Even at 75% now full charge will 1hr 42mins. I put phone in safe mode and still slow charge. I done no updates on phone as I have it rooted.

I'm guessing there's a problem with the microUSB port itself. It might have to be replaced. Is the phone still under warranty?

Warranty would be void with root. I'll bring it to a phone repair shop couldn't be that much for a port. Thanks hopefully it will sort it due a upgrade in march so might just wait for s8
